DRESS SMART, LOOK THE PART
Make your first impression a professional
one! Dress professionally and comfortably. When in doubt, dress
conservatively. Wear casual attire only if you have been told prior
to the interview that it is acceptable to dress casually. In that
case, follow the guidelines for "business casual" attire.
For women:
· A dark color business suit or dress.
· Wear sensible pumps or flats, polished.
· Moderate make-up and perfume.
· Simple jewelry only.
· Hair and fingernails should be well groomed.
For men:
· A clean, ironed shirt, conservative tie, and business
suit.
· Shoes should be polished.
· Face should be clean-shaven; facial hair should be neatly
trimmed.
· Hair and fingernails should be well groomed.
· Use cologne or after-shave sparingly.
Business Casual:
· Slacks or long pants. (Never wear jeans or shorts)
· Opened collared shirt or blouse, preferably long sleeve
dress shirt.
· Closed toed shoes, no sandals. Always wear trouser socks.
Always wear a watch, bring a planner with notepad
and pen, but don't take notes during the interview. Be prepared
to check your calendar if an additional meeting, or potential start
date may be scheduled.
